While accumulating a solid client base, one which continues to grow, we found that many small-to-medium-sized companies were relying upon us to implement updates to their website content. As developers, we found that this was a tedious chore which consumed time better spent on software design and programming.

In 2002, with demands on our team’s time growing beyond control, we needed to take action on behalf of our clients. We knew that our customers would be better served if they had a simple and cost-effective way to manage website content themselves. After surveying the existing “content management” landscape, we found two general software classes. On the low end of the spectrum, there existed content management software that was very simple, but did not provide the type of control our clients would need. On the upper end, there were very expensive products that our small-to-medium-sized clients could not afford to purchase. What we discovered is that the powerful, yet affordable, product our clients needed did not yet exist!

Based on the results of our research, we began designing a product that would allow our non-technical clients’ to manage their website content independently. Drawing upon our team’s years of software development experience, we spent the next year refining Simpulse’s flagship product, Libero. Our product liberates a company’s non-IT staff from relying on a few IT people to update vital company information that can mean the difference between a sale and lost opportunity, between timely publicity and yesterday’s news, between a successful venture and failure.
